Ready Decks® is committed to using the most environmentally friendly decking materials available while still building a deck that withstand years of outdoor Mother Nature abuse.
We use pressure tested southern yellow pine. “In studying greenhouse gases, fossil fuel use, water use, acid rain, smog, eutrophication, and ecological impact, researchers found that wood outperformed WPCs (Wood-plastic composites) in six of the seven categories.” http://www.remodeling.hw.net/decking/lumber-life-cycle-wood-vs-composite-decking.aspx
Our galvanized fasteners will eventually breakdown in time and return to the earth.
Our streamlined efficient methods from supplier to finished product means that less handling and usually one trip builds use less fuel and reduce the carbon footprint of our deck and other products. In addition our standard products are built with less than an average of 2% waste. Other projects that produce more waste generally in the form of "short cuts" are organized and recycled in our products or sold/given to customers who may have a use for them. We are receptive to practical ideas that will reduce or eliminate all of our waste. (email@example.com)
We recycle packaging and encourage our franchisees and team members to recycle office and at home going so far as to make bins for us to bring recyclables to the office in the cities where this is not available with home pickup. We donate to environmental and wildlife protection organizations because the big part of enjoying being outside on a deck or porch is soaking in Mother Nature’s beauty.
"We must protect and preserve the earth that we share with all of Gods miracles"-
